❚ Brand Introduction ❚
Into the stealth stand on the second floor, dressed in simple old woman, humming song, look comfortable.
This is my first impression of Pa Mang.
She then responded enthusiastically to my various questions and from time to time came up with reference books on the backs, explaining fabrics, dyes, and their traditional totems. Slowly, I found out that she is the boss of this.
In 1996, Pa Mang and Nu Shwe founded Yoyamay. She said frankly, originally only to make money, serious work, only gradually fell in love with fabric. Then show a few town shop treasure, it is her collection, daughter does not change.
In the beginning, they bought and sold commodities, went to textile schools, and passed on to schools. Since each family in the village still retains its own unique design, in order to be able to present such an in-place culture, they retain the traditional techniques of textiles and learn from the essence of their studies.
This textile worker can only do the work of textile at idle time, while the handmade fabric is time-consuming and labor-intensive. In order to promote cooperation, retain the design and totem, reproduce traditional natural dyeing, she recruits heads of villages to plant natural grass dyes such as bluegrass, and looks for textile materials so that they can work independently for one day.

In recent years, they have learned another opportunity to transform these fabrics into bags, pillows, card holders, etc., and let her daughter Cing Chan Sang (Julie) undertake the work. Pa Mang's next step, not to expand the storefront, but the establishment of Weaving village, to establish a textile self-reliance ecological.

She said with a smile that she was too old to care for the village weavers. But I think the seeds she sowed have quietly taken root and thrived.
I can not help but think about how many idealists want to keep their minds in their own ways these few days. But few see who really does business. She is more passionate than ever before .
I remembered her demeanor when I first saw it, that is the frank business operator in order to have the style. She loves textiles, more pure than us, deep.
