This one-of-a-kind Scampi Jacket is crafted from three vintage Japanese kimono textiles from the 1980s–90s, reconstructed through UMUI’s signature quiet pattern clash aesthetic. The front panels feature monochrome Oshima Tsumugi silk with a bold kikko geometric motif, while the back reveals an elegant floral Oshima Tsumugi pattern. The sleeves are finished with hanabishi tsumugi weave, adding subtle contrast and texture. Traditionally, the kikko motif symbolizes longevity and protection, while hanabishi represents prosperity and refined beauty — quiet auspicious details hidden within a minimal silhouette. Lightweight, the tsumugi silk has a crisp, dry texture unique to vintage Japanese textiles. Designed as a relaxed unisex shirt jacket, it layers effortlessly over T-shirts, tanks, or knits across seasons.
