昔ブヌン人（布農人）は木材、木々を必要だと思ったら、木々は自ら家に転がり込むようになっていた。ある日、木材が転がり込むときに婦人が織った布を荒らしてしまった。彼女は怒って木々に向かって怒鳴った。「二度と来るんじゃない！帰れ！」木々は怒り狂い、人々に苦しみを与えようと・・・・
「大地の瞬き3/4ソックス」は靴下を三つの部位に分け、各部位で神話の中の怒り狂う木々の特徴を表現した。ニイタカアカマツの樹皮が割かれた様子、アベマキの厚くて弾力あるコルク形成層の様子、そして台湾ケヤキの皮目（ひもく）の様子も表現している。
