The Chief Project collects and turns brand new leftover fabric from cotton fabric manufacturers of Global Fashion Brands, giving them a second life as your handkerchiefs, Beeswax wrap, reusable facial cotton pad and etc. through the hands of women and retired workers in local labour organisations. By doing this we: 1) Prevent manufacturers from disposing large amounts of high quality fabric, in turn relieving wastage pressure on our landfills 2) Provide an alternative solution by guiding Hong Kong towards a zero waste lifestyle with our reduce-waste-by-waste products 3) Develop social capital by creating jobs for unemployed women workers in our community We aim to produce a triple-win situation for our community. The Chief project is working towards creating a zero-waste future and, at the same time providing opportunities for women workers who are working hard to take care of their families and children. Build a sustainable lifestyle with us. The Time is Now.
