{Sustainable choice, a better future}
"Inexhaustible and inexhaustible" is mankind's wrong illusion about nature. With human overconsumption and extreme climate change, the earth's resources have gradually become scarce. In 2024, the world's total population will exceed 8.1 billion and continues to increase. However, the available arable land and ocean area of the earth remain unchanged. According to United Nations estimates, approximately 864 million people around the world will face serious food security crises in 2023.
Alvin Feed believes that choosing a sustainable lifestyle is a firm commitment between us and our pets to give the next generation a better future. We can improve production technology and formula design to achieve "sustainable food ingredients" and "sustainable ingredients" under the premise of "not destroying marine resources", "not competing with wildlife for resources", and "not reclaiming additional land to meet the demand for raw materials" The four major directions of "R&D", "sustainable feed" and "sustainable products" allow every pet to enjoy it healthily for a long time!
"Sustainable food": refers to agricultural, fishery and animal husbandry food by-products produced by human activities, and reusable food produced to meet daily needs but not eaten. We will give priority to cooperating with local farmers and enterprises in Taiwan. Single cell protein (Single Cell Protein), vegetable and fruit by-products, grain by-products, poultry, livestock and aquatic product by-products and insect proteins produced by processing are all our main research and regeneration products. object of utilization.
"Sustainable R&D": R&D of processes to create low-carbon footprint, natural-flavored and nutritious food.
The Maillard reaction caused by high temperature and complicated processing procedures will cause the loss of nutrients in the ingredients, change the flavor and increase the carbon footprint. Therefore, we have developed a low-temperature simplified manufacturing process. At a production temperature of 60 to 65°C, the ingredients will pass through a crusher, mixing and aging machine, extruder and drying and cooling machine to become delicious pet food.
"Sustainable Feed": Hygiene management methods for producing food that does not require the addition of chemical preservatives.
Microbial and pest contamination are the main factors causing food deterioration and damage. Therefore, formulating good production and hygiene management methods can reduce the reliance on chemical preservatives to prevent food deterioration and damage, so that beloved pets can eat real food. The details are as follows:
1. Warehouse room, crushing and grading room, production room and packaging room with controlled temperature/humidity and independent space.
2. A production line designed with a flat open conveying pipeline that can be cleaned and disinfected without dead ends.
3. Daily management requirements for workers to wear dust-free clothes, hats, shoes, gloves and hand disinfection.
4. Conduct regular microbiological monitoring.
"Sustainable products": The ultimate goal is to use environmentally friendly and safe packaging materials to package pet food to avoid contamination and to facilitate storage, sales, display and transportation of products.
1. Research and design of product packaging materials: simple design style labels printed with UV environmentally friendly ink, including rPP recycled materials or recyclable PET material packaging and FSC certified cartons.
2. Product packaging hygiene quality and safety performance testing: product physical damage testing and moisture and microbial testing.
