About the artist: Ginna Paola (it's been my nickname for years, it's how I feel) was born in 1967 in Bakhmut, Ukraine. In connection with the Russian war against Ukraine she moved to Austria.
I have no art education, but I studied for many years with different masters. I think this method is perfect for me. Because it gives many approaches to work, introduces different artistic worldviews and techniques, but at the same time leaves room for my own path.
My life is a field for practice and experimentation. I think you could write a book, if you list everything I did, and deeply immersed in the subject. But in a nutshell.
Among others: Dolls, Creating dicorations for the theater, clay modeling, plastic, dough, creating costumes, artistic embroidery, drawing skills, painting on fabric, painting (watercolor, oil, acrylic). Thanks to a lot of experience with different materials, has appeared his own style and handwriting. «My artwork has it all! I ask questions, I find answers, I invest feelings... But most of all I pay attention to the harmony of the composition and the energy invested. My goal is to paint a painting so that it saturates the space with life. It should be a well from which you can draw endless inspiration. I should note that different tasks can be of interest to me: personal creativity and orders.»
Many of my works are scattered around the world with different buyers, private collectors.
Before the big war on February 24, 2022, I had a creative realization, planning to finish a big commissioned project of oil paintings. But my life was completely turned upside down, and there was almost nothing left of the past...
Having been a direct participant in the most horrific events, something changed in me. In the beginning my artistic nature disappeared, I became afraid that I had lost myself. But the time came and the artist came back. New ideas, new space for self-expression, new life. All the works you see were written in Austria. Most of my paintings are animal related, just portraits (although it is not easy to portray the essence) or reflections on philosophical and social problems. It was through animals that the joy of life and creative inspiration came back to me.
Painting technique: I use a complex combination of oil, acrylic paints and texture paste. To achieve the desired effect, I have to spend a lot of time (by modern standards) and use all my knowledge accumulated over a lifetime. The way the paintings are painted is an individuated handwriting that is perhaps reminiscent but still original.
