“jiwood” is named after “吉Wood”, which is a homophone of “lucky things” in Mandarin while conveying the meaning of something made of wood at the same time.
The designer is a photographer with many years of experience in photography. Appreciating the variability and gentleness of wood properties, he embarked on his woodworking career after a chance encounter with handmade woodcraft. Therefore, he not only makes products with particular persistence, but also pays absolute attention to choosing right material.
