In 2003, we came to recognize the group of “the friend of the nature” in Hong Kong gift show, we are astonished right on the spot! It is difficult to imagine, the “Jute” which has been regarded as the unlucky symbol in Taiwan, can be so delicately designed, and even manufactured into so stylish and so trendy woven bags. Thereof, we further contacted the Indian factory which is manufacturing the related products; and started each others destiny.
After understanding deeper we learned, that among the hemp plant, “Jute” is highly welcomed globally, especially in European countries. Because “Jute” can be 100% bio-degradable and recycled, it is a natural source material completely harmless to the environment; or we should say that this material itself is coming from the mother earth, therefore is capable to return to the mother earth.
As mentioned previously jute products are highly welcomed by the Europeans, therefore, when we had accessed to this product, in the beginning most of our customers were Europeans and Americans. We placed orders to manufacture various kind of woven bags, after repeated in ordering, we began to come up with an idea of introducing it into Taiwan, however, worrying about the market acceptability was inevitable; therefore, we tried first with the gift market, unexpectedly our original worries did not happen, many customers expressed their high appraisal for the woven jute bags. Thereafter, we brought with us samples to go to Japan for participating in Tokyo Gift Exhibition and also in Taipei International Gist Show , where we received an excellent appraisal, even many dealers are placing custom-made orders, this also encouraged our faith! Therefore, we began to try design the style which is considered can be accepted by the people in Taiwan, and let the “Stylish Jute Bag” can formally meet with the friends in Taiwan in the year 2011.
“Jute”, besides it is a natural material, the weaving specialist of Europe and America have found it possesses properties of toughness and plasticity, so it is even more suit for making environment protection shopping bag, thus research and development was started, what has been found is that Asian jute is the best among all kind of the jute, especially those from Bangladesh and India, the organic planting of the jute is then started, stems are harvested, immerse in the water until becoming soft, then spinning and knitting, and weave into cloth. Currently, all over the world 3 million people are engaged in the “jute” related industry, including planting, weaving, production etc. The largest production area is in Bangladesh followed by India. However, Indian government is adopting the policy of both technical and financing assistance toward the jute industry, making the related jute weaving industry to progress rapidly; among others India also established the National Jute Research Institute and the related organization, to do deeper research and development for the jute products.
The company which is in cooperation with us is the leader in the Indian jute weaving industry, and is always leading the Indian industry to manufacture the product complying with the international standard. The quality of the product is not only certified internationally for ISO9002 and Sedex-ETI, but also all of the raw materials will have to be proved to be completely non-toxic and not contaminated, to further copying with the requirement of the European and American market, to make it possible for import.
There were 32 items being introduced into Taiwan for the first time, “Simple, uncomplicated” is our main appeal. Today, the year of 2015, the stylish jute bag is already enter into the 7th generation, all together there are as many as 96 items, and still continually conceiving for the new design. We are also expect the people who is in contact with such a bag which is different from those in the ordinal market, may understand more regarding “Love the earth”. To love the each does not need to do something specially. By starting to carry a “Stylish jute bag” which is co-existing with the mother earth, and rich in fashion sense, everyone is already in this simple way to “Love the earth”.
