Hi,
Mo Mo is the name of my black and white cat.
And silent, low-key pottery is my personality.
This is my pottery laboratory,
There will be pots, plants, living utensils, and possibly cat supplies in the future.
//The pottery works here don’t go in the direction of pursuing perfection//
In Japan, there is a kind of "wabi-sabi",
It expresses the beauty of accepting flaws, variables, incompleteness and impermanence.
Everyone is not a Barbie doll copied by the factory
Have their own beauty, defects, differences and personal characteristics
This is something that is difficult to replicate and is worth cherishing.
And hand-made pottery is also born under various variables
Regardless of the temperature and atmosphere of pottery molding, glaze change, and firing
They are hard to replicate, and there is rarely perfection, just like each of us.
//Some people may say that imperfect works should be smashed
Only a small number of nearly perfect works are sold, so that the brand can maintain its value.
Maybe so,
But once I saw some large pottery towns from a documentary,
Because the imperfect works were smashed and buried in the soil over the years, they will still exist after a thousand years;
As a result, local residents have difficulty even trying to avoid broken pottery pieces in the soil when plowing and digging to build houses.
Even an inch of grass is hard to grow...
These broken ceramics have become wastes that cannot be recycled for thousands of years.
Has become an environmental issue.
So I started to think,
In addition to satisfying the sense of accomplishment of making pottery,
The environmental burden should also be minimized.
So unless the degree of flaws in the work will affect the use of the utensils (such as water leakage),
Other works with minor flaws will not be broken,
Change it to manual grinding, or sell it to customers who agree with it and still like the work at a more cost-effective price.
I hope to find a group of friends who cherish the environment and cherish things.
// Focus on finishing //
There will only be one for each work and cannot be copied.
All the photos will not deliberately retouch, and will truly present multiple angles of the work.
I hope it is a collection of talents who truly appreciate handwork and agree with these concepts.
