For over 100 years, Musberg has been passed down to the fifth generation. During this period, various filling materials have been used, but the best material is still horsehair because it has all the ideal properties as a filling material and is suitable for all climatic conditions.

In the early days of making horsehair products, steps such as washing, mixing and combing were outsourced to others. As the technicians were getting old and wanted to close the business, the third and fourth generations of Museberg gradually established a production process that was completely carried out in Austria from start to finish.

The workshop located in the small town of Hörbranz on the shores of Lake Constance is the only professional horse hair workshop in the world that carries out the entire process from raw material collection and complicated cleaning and processing to the final product production. It fully demonstrates the advantages of horse hair by leveraging centuries of accumulated technology.
