Name All Brass
We own a lot of things in our lives, and most of them have the fate of being acquired, used, and thrown away. Some are damaged, some are not. It's natural, isn't it? I think the reason they are important is that they can be replaced at will, they are irrelevant - because they have no connection with us.
How to establish a connection? To build a relationship? Naming! Once it has an owner, it should be named by the owner. Naming is a spiritual power. The owner will think about it and imagine how to be with it in the future, and then give it a name. This is the connection.
I like to use materials that connect with people, and copper is a great material for that. I use hammers and punches with various letters/numbers/symbols, hand-engraved on brass objects, to customize with personalized content for customers, or design and expression of my personal inspiration. That's "naming"! Copper changes with us over time, we get older, it gets old (oxidized), just like an old friend.
So, let's start by naming each piece of brass~
