Hello, everyone. I’m Lillian. I started to paint resin painting 8 years ago. Because I am a painting professional and I love painting very much. When I first started contacting resin painting, I found that resin painting is very beautiful and interesting. It's just a hobby, but also a part-time job in painting. My resin painting works are loved by many friends. Later, I founded the resin painting studio Serene Life Art Ltd. It’s a wonderful thing for me to do resin painting full-time and to work with like-minded artists. I think it’s a great thing to treat my hobby as a career, and I hope more people can learn about it. Such a beautiful art.
The creativity of resin painting originated from traditional Chinese lacquer painting, inspired by insect amber. The first painter using resin materials was Japanese artist Ryusuke Fukhori. Resin paintings are drawn and superimposed layer by layer based on the specificity and flowability of resin glue, which is not a three-dimensional effect that can be achieved by traditional paintings. It is also a fresh art that has emerged in China in recent years. The resin painting materials are generally transparent hard resin glue and acrylic paint.
The resin painting looks very lifelike. Because of the layer-by-layer painting, it is more layered, as if a fish swimming in the water freezes at that moment. It looks more three-dimensional. Of course, resin painting is a test of painting skills. How to draw agile and natural? This requires constant practice and exploration, mastering the form, mastering the pen coloring, layering and layering techniques, etc., in order to draw lifelike Elves.
As a new art form, resin painting is not well known and loved by everyone. This painting form breaks the traditional flat painting and presents a brand-new three-dimensional sense, which is a real three-dimensional painting. And this kind of painting form innovation space is very broad, you can paint everything you can think of.
The reason why the resin painting is magical is that it can be created in multiple layers using resin glue and acrylic paint, and the layers and layers can be superimposed to produce a visual three-dimensional effect. A goldfish can be divided into about 6-8 layers, from bottom to top are pelvic fins, body, eyes, tail, and dorsal fins. In principle, the more layers there are, the more three-dimensional the final image will be.
Secondly, because the resin painting process is very cumbersome, first prepare the container, mix and stir the resin glue (A/B) according to the proportion, and then import it into the container to be drawn. Each layer has a thickness of 0.5 to 1 mm and let it stand for 8-12 hours. . After the glue is solidified, use acrylic paint to draw the first layer. After drawing, adjust the appropriate amount of resin glue and pour it in, and then draw the second layer after solidification. It has a multi-viewpoint three-dimensional effect. When pouring the resin glue, you can add some auxiliary materials you need, such as small stones, etc., so that the work can achieve the purpose you want. Post-production: It is aimed at some effects to be processed, such as water patterns and work modeling, etc., which require auxiliary tools such as polishing.
It takes a long time for the resin glue to solidify, so you can only paint one layer a day. If you need to paint 20 layers of a work, it takes at least 20 days to complete. In winter and rainy days, the resin is very dry due to the weather. Full, it takes 24-48 hours for each layer to dry completely. Resin painting will use a variety of painting techniques, such as watercolor techniques, and mask dyeing techniques in classical oil paintings.
For example, a simple fish needs to be drawn at least one week to achieve a perfect three-dimensional effect. From the fin, the body, the scales, and the dorsal fin, it takes 6 to 8 levels, and only one can be drawn per day. Gradation, because the resin glue has a curing time, painting cannot be done during this period. Large works depend on the situation, depending on the size and depth of the container and the complexity of the painting objects. For example, a dragon's work will take 3-4 weeks. Some of our non-sale resin painting works are used for exhibitions, and they are very detailed, and it takes more than two months or even longer for these types of paintings.
Finally, the most important thing is to treat each work with the heart mentioned above. We do not paint to complete a work. If we are a little dissatisfied, we will not sell it to customers. Therefore, to complete a resin painting work, I will really do my best. Setting such a price is worthy of my own work, worthy of resin painting art, and even more responsible for the client who collects the work.
