It has been more than 40 years since I founded Dali Ceramic Machinery Factory in 1975, and I have also felt the beauty of ceramic art. Under the encouragement and guidance of the international master Sun Chao, Dongwan Shihua Art Ceramics Factory was established in 2000 to produce hand-painted shapes and other craft ceramics. In 2012, he founded Dali Kiln and began to create personal works. The works are mainly tea utensils and display artworks, using kiln-style Tenmoku glaze and Lotus color gilding. It is hoped that based on the inherent tradition, Yao will strive to create an aesthetic art with a more contemporary feel.

When I was a student, I majored in mechanics. After entering the society, I was honed in my father Liao Mingtang’s ceramic machinery factory, developing a precise attitude and the patience not to be afraid of failure. In 2000, I was formally exposed to the beauty of ceramic art, and constantly challenged and failed. In the manufacturing and production process, we also adhere to the concept of precision and insistence on quality requirements. This is the attitude that we have always had with our father since we were young. We must do our best when we do what we do. In the creative concept of personal works, daily life ceramics not only integrate traditional cultural connotations, contemporary aesthetic concepts and current humanistic atmosphere; after all, with the improvement of civilized society, people continue to pursue the quality of life, simple soil, water, Fire creates ceramics, and we incorporate more craft techniques and glazes that mimic the colors of nature; the works are more convenient for people to use, while at the same time shortening the distance from nature, returning to the original style and feeling, allowing People can enjoy this kind of spiritual peace and tranquility with us.
Thoughts on Craft Road:
Craftsmanship is a path to never look back. Even if you keep moving forward, there will never be an end; only by constantly expecting and surpassing yourself can you continue to move forward on the road of craftsmanship. There are too many people, things, things, etc. on the road, which are all of another kind. A tangible or intangible mentor accompanies one's persistence in craftsmanship.

In 2012, Dali Kiln was established and sold in Tianfu Tea System in China.
Since 2013, more than 30 works have been certified by the Yingge Shao brand.
In 2014, two new ceramic products were selected by the New Taipei City Ceramics Museum.
In 2015, it won the Silver in the Ceramics category of the Chinese Craftsmanship Award.
