Wensheng Kiln-Taiwan Craftsman-Hundred Years of Inheritance

In 1894, Wu Ji, the 21st generation of the pottery family in Cizao Town, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, came to Taiwan to earn a living by crossing the sea with ancestral ceramic technology, and he took root here. The 22nd generation of Wu Wen was born in Yingge, Miaoli, and other places to make pottery. Later, he settled in Yingge and opened a kiln. "Nine Dragons Ceramics Co., Ltd." At that time, the antique ceramics market in Taiwan was booming, and many large blanks were exported to other countries in Hong Kong. In 1979, Wu Zhenghong established "Hongye Ceramics Co., Ltd.", and later the ceramic artist Wu Mingyi inherited the ancestral industry of ceramics. The studio is named "Wensheng Kiln".

Wensheng Kiln-Inherited by the 24th generation of ceramic artist Wu Mingyi, the studio was renamed "Wen Sheng Kiln" and used it as the studio brand trademark because of the enlightenment of his grandfather Wu Wensheng. On the one hand, the hand-drawn ceramics of ancestral ceramics are preserved. Intangible cultural skills shoulder the responsibility of historical inheritance; the other meaning is to find out the multiple forms belonging to the new generation. Implemented the concept of education and inheritance, and won the certification of the Ministry of Culture-Taiwan Craft House.

Wu Mingyi changed the original traditional industrial pattern and started anew, based on experimental research, innovative design functional orientation, coupled with craft aesthetic thinking, design practical life pottery, tea ware, coffee ware. Using ceramic hand-drawn forming techniques to produce, develop the brand "Heshi" traditional pottery, creative life pottery "Ceramic Art Source", design works "Lotus Leaf Basin", landscape ceramics "Water Flow" patented invention; innovative and original publication of functional tea utensils, " The "Selector" pot and the "Tao Zang" tea warehouse won the National Craft Double Brand Award.

In 2020, we will further develop the innovative patented "Tao Shake" roasting roasting machine, "WU filter cup" paperless filter cup, "coffee pot" raw and cooked bean cans... "House of Crafts-Wensheng Kiln" makes the works have both practical functions and design aesthetics.
